Dicentra Burning Hearts
You’ve never seen flowers so red on a Dicentra until you’ve seen ‘Burning Hearts’. The contrast between the blue-gray, ferny foliage and bright rose red, heart-shaped flowers is striking. This plant forms a compact mound of foliage topped with arched flowering stems from late spring into early fall.
Echinacea Hot Papaya
From mid through late summer, highly fragrant, 3 inch, spicy red-orange flowers bloom with a papaya orange halo in the pom-pom center. The glowing orange flowers have terrific visual impact from quite a distance, especially when planted in groups. Be sure to cut a few for a fresh bouquet that will last nearly two weeks.
Echinacea Raspberry Truffle
A scrum-deli-umpcious plant in any sunny garden. This new selection is short and stout, making it the perfect companion for summer phlox, lilies, sedum, coreopsis and many more colorful perennials. The soft, yet saturated salmoney-pink bloom color is long lasting and fades to a coral pink as it ages.
Phlox Purple Beauty
Deep purple blooms form solid canopies of color over neat mounds in pot or garden. Evergreen mats of pine needle-like foliage. Grows 4-6" high and likes part shade/part sun.
Pulmonaria Blue Ensign
Pulmonarias are wonderful plants for spring, producing flowers in an attractive range of pastel colours, complemented by handsome foliage. 'Blue Ensign is one of the earliest varieties to flower, creating a good display of bright, blue blooms throughout March and April. These fade gradually to purple with age. Will thrive on most soils provided they are rich in organic matter in full sun or partial shade.
Coreopsis Corey Yellow
Bright yellow and deep red daisy blossoms fit for cutting. Bloom starts in early summer and continues until frost in autumn. The bright yellow petals turn deep red at their bases where they surround a golden yellow central disc. By late spring or early summer, the plant is an upright mass of stems with flowers reaching above the plant. Butterflies and bees frequent them every chance possible.
